CONGRATULATIONS - to Rhiannan Llewellyn - our first Jerra Joeys C Badged umpire!!! And at the ripe old age of 14! Rhiannan has worked very hard on her umpiring and this is a very well deserved award for the commitment she has shown. Fantastic work Rhiannan.
We look forward to having more juniors badged next year.

FINALS - yes - we're now into the pointy end of the competition - and what a great competition it has been for all. A HUGE well done to all our Jerra Joey teams - you have played well and with great sportsmanship throughout the season. You should be all VERY proud of yourselves - we certainly are.

At this stage I can NOT confirm the SEMI FINAL GAME TIMES for THIS week - (Sat 4th September). Times have already been changed - I will put up the confirmed draw ASAP. (should be by 4pm Wed)

Game times have changed compared to the usual draw so that the best umpires can be used throughout the final series.
10 of our junior teams have made it through to the finals - and 1 senior team - a HUGE well done to you all.

CLUB MEETING - being held tonight 7pm at Cheryl's house. Final plans for presentation day etc will be discussed - and details will be loaded onto here as soon as they're confirmed.

2011 - COACHES & PLAYERS NEEDED - Jerra Joeys are looking for coaches for our senior teams next year - and more players. Especially looking towards putting together a Div 1 Senior Team in 2011. Please start putting the word out NOW. Let's get the Joeys back into the Div 1 mix - they've been greatly missed this year.

FOUND HOODIE - I've found a Jerra Joeys Hoody in the lost property at QNA this last weekend. Call me if it's yours.

QNA 2011 REP SEASON - nominations have been called for coaches and managers for the junior QNA 2011 Rep Season. Closing date 6th September 2010.

Details will be loaded onto this blog regarding QNA Rep trials as information comes to hand.

CLUB TEAM PHOTOS - photos will be held this week and next. Although we understand that sometimes not all players can make it - we do ask everyone to make an effort to attend if possible (including coaches & managers) - even if you're not purchasing a photo.
Coaches should have handed out envelopes by now - if you have misplaced it - we'll have extras on the day.
We will only be taking TEAM photos - not individual pics (sadly - not enough time).
A portion of the photo cost will come back to the club as fundraising money.
IMPORTANT - Please be on time for your team photo - as we have to fit in many teams in a short space of time.
MEET at the playground near the QNA clubhouse just prior to your photo time.

NEWS - 5-08-10

2010 NETBALL SEASON - just a reminder that the QNA 2010 season ends of Saturday 28th August - then there are 3 weeks of finals. The Queanbeyan website may be slightly misleading about this, as the draw is entered until 21st August only. One more regular season match will occur on the 28th August, then there will be 3 weeks on finals - grand finals will be played on Sat 18th September.

BUNNINGS BBQ - What a great day!!! The weather gods were kind to us and the sausages kept cooking right up until 4pm. A HUGE thankyou to all our volunteers who manned the BBQ stall and to those who donated goods. We went through over 750 sausages, 40 loaves of bread, 5 litres of sauce and loads and loads of onions!!!
In the end we made over $1500 profit from the days work, which will all go back into the club to buy such items as balls, bibs, training equipment, end of year awards etc.
Thanks so much to everyone for their efforts and time.
